We’re excited to share some fantastic news: our preschool playground just got an upgrade! Thanks to the support of our school community, we’ve added two brand-new pieces of play equipment: a safe, age-appropriate climbing dome and a bouncy school bus spring rider. The giggles, squeals, and joyful energy from our students say it all - they LOVE it!
But beyond the excitement, this new equipment plays an important role in our students’ growth and development.
Our new climbing dome is specially designed with younger children in mind. Its low height and easy slope ensure safety, while the terraces encourage our students to climb, balance, and explore in a way that supports both their gross motor skills and self-confidence. And the "cave" underneath is a whole other area of imaginative play!

Climbing helps build strength, coordination, and spatial awareness, which are all essential for early physical development. It also encourages problem-solving as children figure out how to move from one side to the other. Best of all, the dome fosters cooperative play, with kids learning to take turns, cheer each other on, and celebrate each other’s successes.
Our springy school bus is already a favorite pretend-play destination! Designed like a bright yellow bus, this piece gently bounces and rocks as children climb aboard. It’s not just fun, it supports balance and sensory development while providing a safe way to engage active muscles.

Both these new items fuel imaginative play. This kind of pretend play is crucial at the preschool level; it nurtures language skills, creativity, and social-emotional development as children invent stories, take on roles, and interact with peers.
At first glance, it might look like fun and games (and it is!), but play is how young children learn best. Our new playground equipment gives them more opportunities to move their bodies, challenge themselves, make friends, and express their creativity - all in a safe, supervised environment.
We’re so grateful to have the support of families and community members who value the importance of play in early childhood education. Your contributions help us create a space where children feel joyful, confident, and ready to learn.
